Down here on Gaiban Shah Dargha Road in Ghatkopar West, things are always moving. We are located near the Jama Masjid in Narayan Nagar, which is a pretty lively part of town to be in. Our spot is usually filled with different types of security gear and tools scattered around. Working in security solutions in a place like Mumbai means you’re always dealing with tight spaces and lots of wiring. We spend a lot of our time going from one shop to another or helping out a neighbor who wants to keep an eye on their building. It’s mostly just fixing things and making sure the cameras aren’t pointing at a blank wall. The area around the masjid gets really packed on certain days, so getting around can be a bit of a challenge. We don’t really do much in the way of big business talk; we just show up and do the installation. Sometimes a customer comes in confused about why their monitor is flickering, and we just have to swap out a power supply. It’s simple enough if you know what you’re looking at. We’ve been in this pocket of Ghatkopar for a while now, and everyone just kind of knows us as the guys who deal with the cameras. It’s a busy life but it keeps us going day after day in this neighborhood.
