Working out of Sector 20 in Kharghar puts us in a busy part of Navi Mumbai. You can feel the salt in the air sometimes, or maybe that is just the humidity we all deal with every day. Our office at Plot 9C is where we spend most of our waking hours, looking at shipping schedules and talking to people at the docks. It isn't a glamorous life, mostly just a lot of coordinating and making sure the math adds up on the cargo lists. Navi Mumbai has grown so much lately, and the traffic around Kharghar can be a real test of patience. We are a small team, just folks who know the shipping business and want to get through the day without too many hiccups. Sometimes the ships are late, or the port is backed up, and that’s when things get a bit hectic around here. We try to stay organized, but with so many moving parts, there is always something that needs fixing or a call that needs making. We aren't some giant corporation with a thousand rules; we just talk to each other and figure things out as they happen. It's a lot of staring at screens and waiting for emails from overseas. When the sun goes down, we lock up and head home like everyone else. It’s a steady rhythm that we’ve gotten used to over the years. It is what we know.
