Seaking International

Our place is at 19, S.A. Brelvi Road, right across from the Vijaya Bank in Fort. This part of Mumbai is always moving. There are so many old buildings and offices around here. Seaking International is just one of many, tucked into this busy street. The building is older, with those high ceilings that you find in the Fort area. It gets quite hot in the summer, even with the fans going full blast. We spend a lot of time at our desks, looking at the street through the window. You can see the bank customers coming and going all day. There is always a lot of paperwork to deal with, and sometimes it feels like we never reach the bottom of the pile. We aren't a huge corporation, just a team trying to keep up with the work. Lunch is usually something quick from a nearby stall or a tiffin from home. The stairs up to the office are a bit narrow and steep. Sometimes the lift doesn't work, so we get some exercise. We’ve known the security guard at the bank for years now. It’s a community of workers in this lane. We don't spend much on decorations or fancy furniture. The chairs are old but comfortable enough for a long day. We finish up around 6 or 7 and head to the station to catch the train home. It is a long day but it is what we do.
