Sea Phoenix Intercontinental Private Limited is located on the first floor of Modi House. The building is at 8/10 Bora Masjid Street in the Fort area of Mumbai. This part of the city is famous for its narrow streets and very old buildings that have been around for generations. Our office is just up one short flight of stairs. It is a traditional setup with heavy wooden desks and old cabinets full of files and folders. The street outside is always packed with people and small shops, so there is a lot of noise and activity throughout the whole day. We can often hear the calls of the street vendors and the sound of the bells from the nearby masjid. It is a very grounded and real place to work. We do not have a sleek, modern office with glass partitions or fancy coffee machines. It is more of a classic Mumbai office where every inch of available space is used for something important. We handle all our intercontinental business from this one floor. The air inside always smells a bit like old paper and the tea we make in the afternoons. We take our work seriously but we do not feel the need to be formal or corporate about the way we dress or talk. Most of our day is spent at our desks dealing with the logistics of international trade. Modi House has been a reliable base for us.
