Screen Treat

Screen Treat is based at 17 Sainath Road in Malad West. We’re pretty easy to find because we are near the Telephone Exchange, which everyone in the neighborhood knows. Malad is a lively place to be, and Sainath Road has a lot of foot traffic. Our shop is a modest space where we handle all our orders. It’s not very big, so we have to be careful about how we use the room we have. We’ve been here long enough that the locals recognize us when we’re out for lunch. There isn't any fancy corporate talk here. We just talk to people like normal neighbors. The work involves a lot of manual steps, so our hands are rarely clean by the end of the shift. We have various screens and tools leaning against the walls. It’s a bit cramped when we have a lot of stuff going on at once, but we make it work. The noise from the street is always there in the background. We don’t spend money on big signs or promotions. People just know we are the place near the exchange. It’s a simple setup for a simple business. We open the shutters in the morning and stay until the list for the day is finished. That’s pretty much our whole story. It gets a little humid in here during the monsoon, but we have a couple of good fans to keep the air moving.
