Screen Art

Our little shop is called Screen Art and we are located in Ghatkopar at number 106. It’s mostly a workshop where we do a lot of printing. You’ll see ink stains on just about everything here, from the tables to our clothes. We aren’t trying to be a fancy design studio. We just print things for people. The space is filled with screens, drying racks, and the smell of various inks. It can get pretty warm in the summer with the machines running. We have a few people who have been doing this for a long time. They know how to get the colors right without needing a lot of instructions. People from around Ghatkopar usually just drop in with their projects. We don’t have a big sign out front, just enough so people can find the door. It’s a bit cluttered in here because we keep all the old screens just in case a customer comes back for a re-run later. We don’t use any high-end marketing strategies or social media much. Our work just comes from people knowing we are here and do a decent job. Every day is pretty much the same. We mix the ink, set up the screens, and start the run. Sometimes we make mistakes and have to start over, but that’s just part of the process. It’s a decent place to work and we keep ourselves busy throughout the year.
