Our place is at M-21 in the New Madhupura Market, just off Shahibag Road. If you know the market, you know it’s a place where everyone is always in a hurry. Satkul Enterprise Ltd. fits right into that rhythm. We open up early because that’s when the real work starts in this part of town. The shop is filled with various items and the floors are concrete and a bit stained from years of use. We don't have fancy displays or soft lighting. It’s all about the stock and getting it where it needs to go. Sometimes the dust from the road blows in, so we’re always dusting things off. We have a small wooden desk where all the paperwork happens, and it’s usually buried under notebooks and receipts. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when more than two people are inside at once. We spend our days checking lists and talking to the transporters. The market atmosphere is loud, with trucks backing up and people shouting out orders. We don't mind it though, it’s just the background noise of our lives. We’ve been here long enough that the sounds don't even register anymore. It’s a simple operation, run by people who just want to get through their to-do list before the market closes for the day. We usually finish up around seven and head out, ready to do it all again the next morning.
