Sarda Group is located at No. 5 in the Star Industrial Estate. If you know Saki Naka in Andheri East, you know it’s a place that never really sleeps. There’s always the sound of trucks reversing and people loading goods into vans. Our unit is just one of many in the estate. It’s a sturdy building, though it’s seen better days and has some rust on the gates. Inside, it’s mostly open space where we keep our supplies and equipment. We don’t have a lobby with a couch or anything like that. You just walk through the big metal doors and we’re right there working. We’ve been in this spot for a long time, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit around us. We don’t bother with fancy uniforms or big titles. Everyone just pitches in where they are needed. Sometimes it’s a bit chaotic, especially when multiple deliveries arrive at the same time, but we manage to sort it out. We have an old clock on the wall that’s always five minutes fast, but we never bother to fix it. We just focus on the orders and making sure everything is where it should be. It’s a lot of physical work and long hours. We usually share a big pot of tea in the afternoon. It’s just a normal place where people work hard and go home tired. We don't need much more than that.
