We are located over on the 5th floor of Windsor Village in Kalina. It's right near Vidyanagri Marg and Off CST Road, which stays pretty crowded most of the time. National Commodity Derivatives Exchange Ltd. is basically a place where people come to handle all kinds of commodity trading. If you know the Santacruz area, you know how the traffic can get around here, especially in the mornings. Our office isn't anything fancy or over the top. It’s just a bunch of desks, computers, and people trying to keep track of market prices for things like farm products. Most of us have been working here for a good bit now, so we know the routine. We spend a lot of our day looking at charts and making sure the numbers line up right. It gets a bit noisy sometimes when the market is busy, but that’s just how it goes in this line of work. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big speeches or anything. We just show up, do the jobs that need doing, and try to head out before the evening rush really kicks in. The building itself is okay, though the elevators have their days where they take forever. We have some tea in the breakroom and talk about what's happening in the city. It’s a practical space for a practical kind of job. We are just a group of people working in the heart of Mumbai.
