Waghela Brothers Ladies Tailor

You can find us at the Anju Shopping Centre on Tilak Road, right in Santacruz West. We are at shop number 12. It’s called Waghela Brothers Ladies Tailor. We’ve been at this for quite a long time now. The shopping center is always busy with people coming and going. Our shop isn’t very large, but we’ve got enough room for the machines and the fitting area in the back. We mostly handle tailoring for women, which keeps us pretty occupied throughout the week. There’s always someone coming in for a measurement or a fix on an old garment. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know how to handle a needle and thread properly. It gets a bit loud with the traffic on Tilak Road outside, but we don't mind it. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years. Some shops come and go, but we’re still here in the same spot doing the same work. We don't use any fancy computer systems for our work. We just write things down in a big ledger and keep track of the pins. It’s a traditional way of doing things, I guess. People seem to appreciate that we just do the job without any fuss. It’s just how we were taught to work. If you need something tailored, you just walk in and we’ll see what we can do. It's not a fancy life, but it's ours.
