You can find us in Mumbai, specifically at the Sarvamangal Co-Operative Housing Society. Our office is A/22, and it’s where we do all our work for Sankalpan Architects Pvt. Ltd. Mumbai is a very loud and fast-paced city, but our office inside the housing society is a bit more tucked away from the main chaos. It’s a regular room that we’ve converted into a workspace with several drafting tables and a few computers for our design software. We aren't a big firm with hundreds of staff members. We are just a small team of people who like to draw and plan out buildings. We don't have a fancy reception area or anyone to bring you coffee. Usually, we are too busy staring at blueprints or arguing over where a wall should go. Our day-to-day life involves a lot of technical work and making sure we are following all the local building rules. We don't really do much in the way of advertising. Most of our clients are people who have heard about us from someone else or who live in the same part of Mumbai. It is a very grounded way to work. Sometimes we lose track of time when we are finishing a project, and the next thing we know, it’s dark outside. We don't try to sound more important than we are. We are just architects who show up to work in a housing society and try to do a solid job.
