We operate out of Raghupati Apartments on S. N. Road in Mulund West. Our office is B/23, and it’s a pretty standard setup for a shipping business in Mumbai. We’ve been in this 400 080 zip code for quite a few years. It’s a busy neighborhood with people constantly walking by and cars honking on the main road. The work we do involves a lot of coordination with ports and vessels. It means the phones are almost always ringing. We have a few computers that have seen better days, but they still work for what we need. The office has a bit of a sea-themed vibe, mostly because of the maps and calendars we have pinned up everywhere. We don't have a big marketing budget or a team of people writing fancy slogans. Most of our clients come to us because they know where we are and that we’ve been doing this for a long time. We try to be honest about how long a ship might take or if there’s a delay at the customs. There is no point in sugarcoating things in this industry. At the end of the day, we just lock up the apartment and head home like everyone else in Mulund. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living, and we take pride in just staying organized and keeping the cargo moving across the water. It is a noisy but good life here.
