Salient Packaging

Salient Packaging is tucked away in the Bonanza Industrial Estate. We are in unit C/114, which is in Ashok Chakravarti Nagar in Kandivali East. It’s a typical Mumbai industrial area, meaning it’s crowded and there’s always something going on. We’ve been operating from this unit for a good while. The space is filled with rolls of material, boxes, and the machinery we use for our work. It’s not a place for fancy meetings. Usually, when people come by, they have to step over a few things to get to the main desk. We spend our hours making sure the dimensions are right and the quality is what it needs to be. It’s dusty and noisy, but that’s the nature of packaging work. The guys on the floor have been with us for a long time, so we all know how the machines act up and how to fix them. We don't have a receptionist; usually, whoever is closest to the door helps out. Lunch is usually brought from home and eaten quickly so we can get back to the orders. The heat in the afternoon can be tough, but we have enough fans going to keep it manageable. We’re just a small outfit trying to keep our customers happy with the boxes and wraps they need for their own businesses. The tea vendor comes around twice a day, which is something we all look forward to.
