You can find us at Gala No. 02 in the T.C.G. Compound, tucked away behind the Gundecha Building on Kherani Road. Sakinaka is always crowded and noisy, and our shop is no different. We work on hydraulic parking systems, which means we’re usually dealing with heavy steel, grease, and big parts. It’s a tight space, but we’ve learned how to make the most of every inch of the gala. The noise from the street outside blends in with the sounds of our tools. We spend a lot of our time troubleshooting and putting things together. It’s not the kind of work you can do with clean hands. By the end of the day, we’re all usually covered in some kind of oil or dust. We don’t have a fancy office to show off at Hydro Mech Parking. If you come to see us, you’ll probably have to step over a few pipes or components. We’ve been in this spot for a while and we know the other shop owners in the compound pretty well. We help each other out when someone needs a tool or an extra hand with something heavy. It’s a busy life here in Mumbai, and we’re just glad to have steady work. We focus on making sure the systems we build actually work when someone needs to park their car. It’s practical stuff and it keeps us on our toes every single day.
