Our shop is tucked away in Gala No. 9 inside the Vajid Ali Compound. If you are driving down 90 Feet Road in Sakinaka, you have to look out for the Dilshad Hotel because we are located right behind it. It is a bit of a maze back there sometimes, especially with all the other small businesses packed in together so closely. We have been operating out of this spot for a good while now. The space is not exactly huge, but it fits our tools and all the materials we need for the day-to-day work we do. Sakinaka is always noisy and moving, so there is never a dull moment right outside our door. We usually open up early in the morning to get a head start before the traffic on the main road gets too bad. Most of the people who work here live nearby, so we usually just walk or take a short ride to get in. We do our own thing, focusing on the orders we have sitting on the desk. Sometimes the rain makes the compound a bit muddy and difficult to navigate, but that is just how it is in this part of Mumbai. We do not have a receptionist or a fancy waiting room, you just walk in and talk to whoever happens to be free at the moment. It is a practical setup for us. We handle the paperwork ourselves and try to keep things organized, even if it looks a bit cluttered to an outsider.
