Sainath Candles

Our small workshop is located at number 6 in Kandivali East, specifically in the Nanpura area of Surat. We are tucked away inside the Abdul Sattar Compund. If you come by, the first thing you will notice is the smell of melting wax and cotton wicks. We have been making candles here for a long time. It is a manual job that requires a lot of patience and steady hands. The floors are a bit uneven and often have little drops of dried wax stuck to them. We do not have a big automated factory line. Most of what happens here is done by hand, from pouring the liquid wax into molds to trimming the wicks once they have cooled down. It gets quite hot in the compound, especially when the big melting pots are going. We make all sorts of candles for different uses, some for simple lighting and others for local festivals. The space is a bit cramped because we have to store a lot of raw materials and finished stock in the same area. Our staff is just a few local guys who live nearby. We do not have any fancy brochures or a marketing team. We just open the shutters every morning and start melting the wax. It is messy work, but it keeps us busy and provides for our families. We are just a local Surat business doing what we know.
