Sai Leela Garden Works

I've been working at Sai Leela Garden Works for a while now. We're tucked away in Ghatkopar East, right on East Street in Building No A/3. If you come looking for Room No 16, you’ll find us there. It’s not a huge space, but it’s where everything happens. Ghatkopar gets pretty busy, especially during the day when the traffic picks up outside. The building has that old Mumbai feel to it. Some days are just spent sorting through tools or planning out what needs to be done for the next garden project. It’s a lot of manual work and getting your hands dirty, which is fine by me. We don’t have fancy desks or anything. Just the stuff we need to get the job done. The light in the room is okay in the mornings, then it gets a bit dim. Neighbors in the building usually just nod as they pass by. Sometimes I grab tea from the stall down the road before starting. It’s a simple routine. We’ve been here for a bit, and people in the area know the name. It’s mostly just keeping things moving and making sure the plants we handle stay alive and look decent. There’s always some dirt on the floor no matter how much we sweep. That’s just how it goes when you work with gardens in a place like this.
