Sai Krishna & Co. is on the ground floor of Mistry House. You can find us at 32 Bomanji Lane in the Fort area. If you know Mumbai, you know how these old buildings are. Mistry House has a lot of character, but it also has its quirks like old plumbing and narrow hallways. Being on the ground floor is a blessing because we don't have to deal with the elevators. Bomanji Lane is tucked away, but it’s still right in the heart of the city’s business district. The office is small and filled with wooden desks that have seen better days. We do a lot of paperwork here. It’s the kind of place where things are still kept in physical files as much as on the computer. The light coming in from the street isn’t much, so we keep the lamps on all day. Outside, the sounds of the city are constant. There are people walking by, bikes zooming through, and the general hum of Fort. We have been here for years. We know the other business owners on the lane and often stop to chat when we’re getting lunch. It’s a bit cramped and definitely not modern, but it suits us just fine. We just focus on the tasks at hand and get through the day one document at a time. It's a steady way to spend the work week in a busy neighborhood.
