Our small unit is tucked away in Gala No-3 within the Bhanushali Compound. It's right there in Ganesh Lane, Asalpha Village, if you know the area in Ghatkopar West. Most people just call this J. M. T. Road. We spend our time working on narrow fabrics, which is mostly ribbons and tapes and things like that. The looms make a lot of noise, but you get used to it after a few hours. It's a bit crowded inside with all the yarn and finished rolls of fabric taking up space. We’ve been in this spot for a long time and the neighborhood has changed around us. It's a practical place to work, even if the lane gets a bit tight for deliveries sometimes. We usually start early before the heat gets too bad. Narrow fabrics aren't the most exciting thing to talk about, but they are used in so many different items like bags and clothes. We just focus on keeping the machines running and making sure the weave is tight. There isn’t much to see other than our work area and the small desk where we handle the paperwork. It’s a local business and we know most of the people nearby. Sometimes people just drop in to see if we have something specific in stock. We don't spend time on fancy marketing, we just make the fabric and send it out. We stay busy with the local orders and the daily work.
