Our little shop is tucked away on the ground floor of Royal Garden along Dr. Annie Besant Road. If you know Worli, you know how the traffic can get outside our door, especially during the peak hours when everyone is heading towards the sea link or back into the city. Being at Shop No 024 means we see a lot of people passing by on the sidewalk every day. The building is older, but it has a bit of character that you don't find in the new glass towers. We have a simple space here where we manage our import and export tasks. It’s not a big corporate office with leather chairs. We have some sturdy desks and shelves filled with files that have probably been there too long. Usually, the fan is running at full speed to keep the air moving because the Mumbai heat can get pretty heavy in these ground-floor shops. We have some neighbors who have been here as long as we have, so there is a nice sense of community in the building. We handle our own logistics and talk to suppliers all day. Sometimes the internet acts up or the delivery truck gets stuck two blocks away, but we just deal with it. It’s a straightforward operation. We are just a small team trying to keep things moving without too much fuss. It doesn't take much to keep us happy as long as the work is steady.
