Sabbatical

Our spot is up in Glen Heights, right in the middle of Hiranandani Gardens in Powai. Sabbatical started out because we wanted a place to do our own thing here in Mumbai. If you’ve ever been to Powai, you know it’s busy and the traffic can be a nightmare near the lake, but it’s a good area to be in. We spend a lot of time in room 2203 looking at screens and talking on the phone. It’s a bit of a mix here. Sometimes it’s quiet and we can actually get stuff done, other times everyone is talking at once. We don’t really have a big fancy reception or anything like that. Just desks, chairs, and some old files. Most of us have been working together for a few years now, so we know each other's habits pretty well. We grab lunch from the local places nearby or sometimes bring stuff from home. The view from the building is okay, but we’re usually too busy to look out the window much. It’s a regular office life. We handle the daily tasks as they come. No two days are exactly the same, which keeps things interesting I guess. We aren’t trying to change the world, just doing what we need to do to keep the lights on and the work moving. It’s a decent place to spend the day with a small team that knows the ropes.
