You can find us at 509, Prasad Chambers, which is right in the heart of the Opera House area. This building is famous for being a hub for the diamond trade, so it is always crawling with security and people carrying small parcels. Our office is on the fifth floor. It’s a compact space where we spend most of our time looking at stones under small lights. The desks are lined with black pads so we can see the gems clearly. It is quiet work for the most part, though the hallways of Prasad Chambers are usually quite noisy with people shouting and rushing to the elevators. We have been in this spot for a long time. The furniture is old wood and the carpet has seen better days, but it works for us. We don’t really do any big advertising or have a flashy showroom. People who need to find us usually know where we are. Dealing with jewelry and stones requires a lot of patience, and we have plenty of that. In the afternoons, we often send someone down to get tea for everyone from the vendor on the corner. The view from our window is just other office buildings and the busy streets below. It is a very specific kind of world here at Opera House, and we have been part of it for a long while now.
