S. P. International

S. P. International is tucked away in Gulalwadi, specifically at 203-205 Kika Street, Shop No 9 in Ghatni Chawl. If you know this area, you know it’s packed. Finding a parking spot is a nightmare, so most of us just walk or use the local transport. The shop isn't huge, but we make the most of the space we have. We’ve got shelves stacked high with all sorts of items because we try to keep a bit of everything on hand. It gets pretty cramped inside when a few customers come in at once, but we manage. Being in Ghatni Chawl means there's always noise from the street—vendors shouting, horns honking, and people chatting. It’s a lively place to work. We’ve been at this location long enough that we know most of the other shopkeepers around Kika Street. We handle international trade stuff, which sounds fancy, but it’s mostly just a lot of paperwork and making sure boxes get to where they need to go. Sometimes the shipments are late, and we have to spend the afternoon on the phone tracking things down. It’s a lot of back-and-forth. We don’t have a big corporate team; it’s just us here in the shop. We try to be helpful when someone asks a question, even if we’re in the middle of counting stock. That’s just life at S. P. International. It’s busy but we like it and it pays the bills. We just keep going every day.
