S N Maternity General Hospital

Our hospital is located at Plot No 46/K/1 on Road No 4 in Govandi West. It’s a busy part of Govandi, and there is always something going on outside. We handle both general medical issues and maternity cases. Having babies born here means there is often a lot of excitement and sometimes a bit of crying in the hallways. The maternity ward is usually the loudest part of the building. We have several floors, and the stairs get a lot of use since the elevator can be a bit slow some days. The nurses are always moving around with trays or charts in their hands. We have a small area where families can sit, but it often gets crowded when a new baby arrives. Our rooms are basic but they have what is needed for the patients to stay overnight. We spend a lot of time on Road No 4, seeing the same people walking by every day. The office part of the hospital is filled with folders and stacks of paper because there is so much to keep track of with the births and the general patients. It’s a lot of responsibility, and the nights can be long when we have someone in labor. We just keep going, making sure the shifts are covered and the patients are looked after. It’s a local hospital for local people, and we don't try to be anything more than that.
