S K Facility Management is based at Lal Baug 16. If you know the area, you know it’s always crowded and full of life. Our office is a small room that serves as our home base. We aren't in the office much because the nature of facility management means we are usually out at different sites. But this is where the paperwork happens and where we keep our supplies. It’s a humble setup. We’ve got a couple of old desks and a phone that rings more than it should. Lal Baug is a great place to be because everything is close by. We’ve been part of this community for years. Most of the local shopkeepers are our friends. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s just us trying to keep things running for the buildings we look after. It can be stressful when things break down all at once, but we just take it one task at a time. We don't use big words or make big promises. We just show up and do what’s needed. The building we are in is quite old, and the stairs are narrow. It keeps us on our toes. We like the energy of this neighborhood. It keeps us going even on the long days when work seems never-ending. We’re just local people doing a job we know how to do. The calendar on the wall is usually a month behind.
