Our office is located in Mulund East, Mumbai, inside the Mulund Siddhi Housing Society. We are up on the 5th floor in unit A 504. The building sits right off the Eastern Express Highway, so we can see the traffic crawling along all day long. Since we are a shipping company, our work involves a lot of sea freight paperwork and coordinating with the ports. Mumbai is a massive hub for this kind of business, and being near the highway makes it easier for the messengers to drop off documents. The office is a bit on the small side, but we have a decent view of the neighborhood. We spend a lot of time talking to agents and shipping lines on the phone. There is usually a big stack of bills of lading and cargo manifests sitting on the desks. It gets very humid here in Mumbai, so the fans are always on full speed. We are not a large, flashy corporation, just a few people who know how to get containers from one port to another. Sometimes we have to deal with delays or issues at the docks, which is just part of the shipping life. We take our tea breaks and chat about the local news or the cricket scores. It is a very local vibe in the office. We just focus on the logistics and making sure the ships sail with the right papers.
