S G Synthetics Pvt. Ltd. is based out of Flat No-201 in the Saugat Charkop Friends CHS. This is right in Kandivali West, which is always a busy part of the city. Being on the second floor of the building gives us a bit of a view of the street below. We are directly opposite the Apna Bazar, so there is always a lot of noise from people shopping and trucks unloading goods. Plot No. 237 is easy to find if you know the landmark. Inside the flat, we have turned the rooms into working spaces. There are stacks of fabric samples and synthetic material swatches scattered on the tables. It smells a bit like new cloth in here. The building itself is an older cooperative society, so the elevator is sometimes moody and we end up taking the stairs. We spend most of our hours talking to suppliers and checking the inventory. The fans run constantly during the humid months. It feels more like a home than a corporate office, which I guess is common for businesses around Charkop. We know the security guard at the gate and the people who run the small canteen downstairs. It is a bit cramped when we have a lot of stock coming in, but we make it work. Most days are just about managing orders and making sure the logistics don't get too messy. It is a practical space for what we do.
