S Balubhai Company

S Balubhai Company is situated in Masjid Bunder West on Sola Road at 238, Barsol House. If you’ve ever been to this area, you know how packed the streets are with people and carts moving goods back and forth. Our building, Barsol House, is right in the middle of all that chaos. We deal with wholesale trading, so our space is often filled with boxes and bags piled up to the ceiling. It’s a bit of a maze inside sometimes. The air is often thick with the smell of whatever we are moving that week. We don’t have a fancy reception area or air conditioning that works all that well. Most of the time, we are busy on the phone or writing out bills by hand. It’s an old-fashioned way of doing things, but it works for us. The stairs are narrow and worn down from years of people carrying heavy loads up and down. We know the other shopkeepers on the street and we usually have our lunch delivered from one of the small places nearby. It’s not the kind of place where you’d come to sit and relax. It is a place of business through and through. We deal with suppliers and buyers all day long, and the noise from the street never really stops until late at night. We just keep at it because it’s what we know. The paperwork never seems to end, but that is part of it.
