Our shop is on S V Road in Malad West, right near the 41277 marker. Working with glass is a bit of a tricky business because everything is so fragile. You have to be careful every single minute or something will break. We’ve had our fair share of accidents over the years, that’s for sure. The noise from S V Road never really stops, so you get used to the honking and the buses going by. It’s a small shop, and we use every inch of it to store different types of glass. People come in wanting things cut to size or looking for something decorative for their windows. I usually have my tools out on the table, working on one thing or another. It’s not a clean job, there are always little shards and dust everywhere, so we are always sweeping. We don’t have a big marketing plan. People just see the sign and walk in. I’ve been doing this for a long time, and I’ve seen the way Malad has grown. It’s much busier now than when we first started. Sometimes it’s a struggle to get the big sheets of glass through the door without hitting anything. It keeps you on your toes. We just try to do the work properly and hope the customers are satisfied enough to tell their friends about us. It is just a regular way to make a living.
