Ruby Mills Ltd has its home at Ruby House on J K Sawant Marg, right in the middle of Dadar West. Dadar is the heart of Mumbai in a lot of ways, and we’ve seen it change so much over the decades. This building has a lot of history in its walls. We’ve been in the textile business for a long, long time. It’s not like the old days with thousands of looms everywhere, but we still keep the spirit of making fabric alive. The office at Ruby House is where we manage everything, from the designs to the sales. It can get a bit hectic with the trains running nearby and the general chaos of Dadar outside our doors. We’ve got workers who have been with the mill for their whole lives, and their families before them. It’s more of a community than just a company. We don’t go around bragging about being the best. We just focus on the quality of the cloth and making sure we stay relevant in a world that’s always moving faster. Some days we spend hours looking at thread counts and dye lots. It’s tactile work. Even though things are more modern now, the basics of weaving and finishing haven’t changed that much. We’re proud to be a fixture in Dadar West, just keeping the Ruby Mills name going one day at a time.
