Royal Uniforms Tailors

Royal Uniforms Tailors has been in Shop No. 30 at Ganjawala Shoppcentre for a long time now. If you walk down Svp Road in Borivali, you’ll find us easily. The shop isn’t huge, but we have enough room for the sewing machines and the big cutting table in the back. Most days start early with the sound of scissors hitting the wood and the hum of the motors. We handle a lot of different fabrics, mostly for schools and local businesses that need their staff looking the same. It gets quite crowded when the school season starts, with parents and kids everywhere getting measured. The shelves are packed with rolls of blue, white, and khaki cloth. We try to keep things organized, but sometimes the scrap pieces end up all over the floor by the afternoon. It’s a lot of sitting and focusing on the stitches, making sure the collars are straight. We drink a lot of tea while we work to keep our energy up. The lighting isn't the brightest, but we know where everything is. Sometimes the zippers get stuck or the thread breaks, and we just have to fix it and move on to the next piece. It’s honest work, and the regulars know our names. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit from our front door, but the work we do inside the shop stays pretty much the same day after day.
