RMA Architects

Our office is located at 43, V B Gandhi Marg, right in the heart of the Fort area in Mumbai. It’s an old building, the kind you find all over this part of the city, and we’ve been here at RMA Architects for quite some time now. Being in Fort means we’re surrounded by history, which is nice, but it also means dealing with the daily bustle of South Mumbai. Inside the office, things are usually a bit cluttered with rolls of drawings and old models sitting on shelves. We aren't the type to have a sleek, empty lobby. Most of us are usually hunkered down at our desks or out at meetings across the city. The traffic around here can be a pain, but it's where everything happens. We don't spend a lot of time on fancy marketing materials. People usually hear about us from someone else we’ve worked for. We just take on the projects that come our way and try to do a decent job with them. There are a few of us here, and we’ve worked together for years, so we have a rhythm. We don't have a formal philosophy or anything like that. We just look at the site, look at the budget, and try to make something that works. Lunch is usually ordered from one of the local spots nearby, and we eat while we talk about work or whatever else is going on. It’s a practical way to run things.
