Our place is in the Gagan Sagar building on Eksar Road, specifically Room 423. Borivali West is always moving fast, and our office is no different. It’s a compact space, but we make it work. Every corner is filled with something—folders, samples of tiles, or rolls of site drawings. It feels lived-in. We don’t have a receptionist sitting at a big desk. Usually, whoever is closest to the door just looks up and says hello. It’s a bit of a climb or a wait for the lift sometimes, but once you’re up here, it’s a decent spot to work. We spend a lot of time on the phone or staring at monitors. The consultants come in and out, bringing their own sets of notes and ideas. It’s a collaborative kind of mess. We’ve got a small pantry area where the kettle is always on. You can hear the sounds of the street from the window, which reminds us how busy Mumbai is. We don’t have any fancy mission statements on the walls. Mostly just schedules and calendars with deadlines circled in red ink. We just try to get the designs right and handle the consulting side without too much fuss. It’s a regular business. We put in the hours, deal with the city’s paperwork, and try to keep things moving forward for every client who walks through the door. It’s honest work in a busy part of the suburbs.
