Our office is tucked away at number 33 inside the Navketan Industrial Estate. If you know Andheri East, you know that Mahakali Caves Road can get really jammed up during rush hour, so most of us try to get in early or stay a bit late to avoid the worst of it. Being in an industrial estate means there is always something going on around us. You hear trucks backing up and people moving crates all day long. Rite Equipment Private Limited has been based in this unit for a good bit of time. It’s a solid building, even if it shows its age a little here and there. Inside, we have our desks and all the stuff we need to manage the equipment side of things. It’s not a showroom, just a place where the actual work happens. Sometimes the monsoon rains make the walk from the main gate a bit of a challenge, but we manage. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or checking through files and lists. It’s a busy environment but we keep things straightforward. There’s a small tea stall just outside the estate where we usually go for a break in the afternoons. It’s a regular routine for the staff here. We don’t have fancy decorations on the walls, just calendars and some old photos of the team. It feels like home after you’ve been here long enough and know the neighbors in the other units.
