We are located at A-27, Jalada, which is part of the Reserve Bank of India Officers Quarters on P. Balu Marg in Prabhadevi. This isn’t the big office where all the banking happens; it’s where the staff and their families live. The building is right in the heart of Mumbai, so everything is very close by, but the traffic on the road outside can be quite bad most of the time. We have a small administrative section here to look after the building and the people living in it. It’s not a corporate environment at all. It’s more about making sure the water is running, the guards are on duty, and the common areas are kept clean. There are a lot of families here, so you often hear children playing or see people going for walks in the evening. We deal with a lot of small, everyday problems like leaky pipes or parking issues. It’s very practical work and keeps us busy. The people who live here work hard at the bank, so we try to keep the quarters running smoothly for them. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or slogans. We just manage the property and the needs of the residents. It’s a bit like running a small village in the middle of a giant city. It’s just our daily routine here in Prabhadevi.
