We've been at Unit 19 in the Mahalaxmi Industrial Estate for a good while now. It's on the 3rd floor, so we get our steps in every day, especially since the lift can be a bit temperamental sometimes. Most of the time it's just the sound of the machines running and us checking over the prints to make sure everything looks right before it goes out. It gets pretty busy around here, especially when multiple jobs come in at once, but we just keep our heads down and get through the pile. The industrial estate has a lot of energy, always something moving or someone making a delivery. We mostly handle the technical side of things, making sure the graphics come out clearly on whatever material we're working with that day. Sometimes the ink gets everywhere, on our hands and even our clothes, but that’s just part of the job. It's not a fancy office, just a workspace where we get things done. We've seen neighbors come and go over the years, but we've stayed put on this floor. People usually find us by word of mouth or if they’re already in the building for something else. We don't spend much time on fancy talk or making things look better than they are. We just focus on the paper and the plates and getting the colors to match the samples. It’s steady work and it keeps us occupied from early morning until we finally lock up the shutters in the evening. There's always a new project on the table.
