We are based over on Juhu Church Road. It is a famous part of Mumbai, but our day-to-day work is not very glamorous. Being in Juhu means we deal with a lot of traffic, especially on the weekends when everyone heads to the beach. Our office is tucked away, so it is relatively quiet once you step inside. We do not have a big glass front or our name in neon lights. It is just a regular building where we have set up our workspace. Most of our time is spent on the phone or dealing with distributors. The salt air from the sea sometimes makes the metal window frames a bit rusty, but that is just part of being this close to the water. We have a small team, and we all do a bit of everything. There is not a strict hierarchy where people stay in their own lanes. If a box needs moving, someone just moves it. If the phone rings and the regular person is busy, someone else picks it up. It is a bit of a squeeze when we have a lot of inventory in the back, but we make it work. We usually grab lunch from the local stalls nearby because there is always good food around Juhu. It is a practical place to work, even if the location sounds fancy to outsiders. We just focus on getting things where they need to go and keeping our records straight.
