Being over here in Kalyan West, specifically in the Kahkashan Housing Society, feels like being in a real community. Govindwadi has its own rhythm, and we’re just part of that at number 12. The building is older, and the stairs can be a bit of a workout, but it’s home for the workday. We handle things for Reliance Industries Ltd from this residential setting because it’s where we could find the right space at the time. It’s not like those shiny offices you see in Mumbai; it’s more grounded. We have files stacked up, and the walls probably need a new coat of paint, but it’s functional. The society is usually busy with kids playing or people chatting near the gate. We try to keep our noise down so we don’t bother the families living next door. The monsoon season is always a bit of a challenge with the dampness, but we keep the fans going. Our day starts early before the heat gets too bad. We deal with a lot of local paperwork and coordinating things for the region. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but we’ve got a good group here. We don’t really have a big reception area or anything; you just walk in and someone will be there at a desk. It’s a very straightforward way to run things, without any extra fuss or corporate talk. We just focus on the stack of papers on the desk.
