Reliance Communcations Ltd, Mumbai

We are based in Andheri East, right in the middle of all the Mumbai rush. Our office is inside the Dev-Deveshwar Co-Op Housing Society, specifically in room B-106. Being on Teli Galli Cross Lane means there’s always something going on outside. It can be a bit tricky to find us if you’re not used to these narrow lanes, but we like the location. It’s close to everything we need. The office itself is quite small. We’ve got desks squeezed in together and the sound of the printer is almost constant. Reliance Communcations Ltd has had this spot for a while. We handle the day-to-day coordination for the area. Mumbai life is fast, so we spend most of our time answering calls and trying to keep up with the logs. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but nobody really cares about that as long as the internet is working and the work gets done. Most of us take the train in, so the walk from the station is part of the daily routine. It’s an honest kind of workplace. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If someone knocks, one of us just gets up to see who it is. We’re just a group of people working in a housing society office, making sure the communication lines stay open for the city. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped when the delivery guys bring in new equipment, but we just move the chairs and make it work despite the tight space.
