We are over here at 4/1 Sharda Singh Chawl, right near the busy Ghass Bazar in Goregoan East. It is a noisy spot on Ram Mandir Road but it keeps us on our toes. Most days the office is a bit of a mess with papers everywhere because things move fast in the logistics world. We handle a lot of the heavy lifting for the larger Reliance Industries group. It gets quite hot in this part of Mumbai during the afternoons, especially with all the trucks idling nearby. Our team has been around for a while now. We know these streets well. It’s not a fancy glass building or anything like that, just a practical place where we get the job done. Sometimes the traffic on the main road makes things tricky for the drivers, but we find ways to manage. People come in and out all day asking about their shipments. We try to keep it simple and just make sure the goods get where they need to go. If you walk past the chawl, you’ll probably see us sorting out schedules or talking on the phone with the warehouses. It is honest work and there is always something to do. We don’t spend much time on decorations because we are usually too busy focusing on the crates and the delivery notes.
