We are based in the Makba Building, specifically at number 14, which is right near the Sadanand Hotel on Bajirao Road in Byculla. This area has a lot of history, and the building itself is quite old. You can feel the age of the walls when you walk in. It stays relatively cool inside because the ceilings are high. Being near the hotel means there’s always people walking by and the smell of food in the air around lunchtime. We’ve got a simple setup here with a few desks and some storage cabinets for all our records. The street outside is always packed with traffic, so there’s a constant hum of engines in the background. We usually keep the door open to let some air in, even if it gets a bit noisy. It’s just a regular workplace where we get on with our tasks. We don't spend much time worrying about how the office looks. As long as we can find what we need, we're happy. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, but we just wait it out or work by the windows. Most of the people around here know us by name. We just take things one day at a time and try to finish our work before the evening rush starts. It’s nice to have a steady place to work after all these years.
