Reema Transport Pvt Ltd operates out of unit 7 in the Nand Ghanshyam Ind. Estate. We are tucked away off Mahakali Caves Road in Andheri East. This whole area is a maze of industrial estates and small offices. It’s usually a bit of a struggle to find a spot to park the larger vehicles. The estate itself is quite old, and you can see the wear and tear on the walls. Inside our unit, it’s mostly about logistics. We have big ledgers and computer screens showing where the drivers are. There is a lot of coming and going, with drivers dropping off paperwork and picking up new assignments. Mahakali Caves Road is notoriously slow with traffic, so we spend a lot of time planning around that. The office has a few ceiling fans that work overtime in the humid months. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background. It’s a straightforward workplace. We don’t really do much marketing or anything; we just handle the transport requests as they come in. Sometimes the office dog from next door wanders in to say hello. It’s a friendly enough place, even if it gets a bit hectic during the peak hours. We try to stay organized, but with so many moving parts, things can get a little messy. It’s just the reality of the transport business in a busy city like Mumbai. We just keep the wheels turning every single day without too much fuss.
