Down here at 56 Fancy Chamber on Surat Street, things are always moving fast. Being in Masjid Bunder (E) means there is constant noise from the handcarts and the traffic outside our door. We at Redflames Alloyz Pvt. Ltd. spend most of our time dealing with different types of alloys. It’s a cramped area, like most of this part of the city, but we’ve made the most of the space we have. We keep our stock piled up and our ledgers ready. It isn't a place where you'd come for a fancy meeting. You usually have to step over a few boxes just to get to the desk. We’ve been in this trade long enough to know the local suppliers and the regulars who come by for their metal needs. The air smells like salt and exhaust, and the stairs up to the office are a bit steep and narrow. We don't spend money on bright lights or new paint. We’d rather just make sure the alloys are sorted correctly and the weights are honest. It’s hard work, especially when the monsoon hits and the streets get flooded, but we stay open. It’s just us doing what we’ve always done in the heart of the market. Not much more to say than that, really.
