We are based in Industry House, which is a building that plenty of people in Mumbai recognize. It is right there in the Churchgate Reclamation area, not far from the water. We have been here quite a long time, working with textiles and yarn mostly. The office has that old-school Mumbai feel to it, with high ceilings and a lot of paper moving across the desks every day. We do not do much flashy stuff here. Most of our day is spent on the phone or looking closely at samples of yarn to see if the quality is where it needs to be. Being near the station means there is always a lot of noise and people moving around outside, which keeps the energy up. We deal with the manufacturing side of things, making sure the fibers are right before they get sent out to the various factories. It is a steady kind of work that requires a lot of patience. We are not a new startup with bean bags and games; we have regular wooden desks and a rhythm that has not changed much over the years. Some of the staff have been here for decades, so they know this business better than anyone else. We just focus on the materials and the orders. If you come by, you will see heaps of ledgers and maybe some samples spread out on the big table. It is just a regular workplace where people show up and do their jobs.
