We are up on the second floor of the Sonal Heavy Industrial Estate, specifically in unit 205. You’ll find us on Ramchandra Lane Extension in the Kachpada area of Malad West. Ray-Lite Optical Industries has been around for quite a while. Our work revolves around making optical components and related parts. The machines we use are pretty specialized and they take up a lot of room. It’s a bit of a maze inside the workshop with all the benches and equipment. The air is usually filled with the sound of polishing and grinding. We have a small team of workers who have been doing this for a long time. Making lenses and optical parts requires a lot of patience and a steady hand. If you rush it, you just end up wasting materials. We aren't located in a flashy storefront, we are tucked away in an industrial zone because that’s where the work gets done. It can get pretty hot in the afternoons, especially during the summer months. We don't have much of a front office; mostly, it's just the production area. We just focus on the job at hand and try to make sure every piece that leaves the shop is up to the standards we set for ourselves. It’s a practical environment and we like it that way. We just keep working away at our orders day after day.
