If you ever come down to Saki Naka in Andheri East, you’ll find our shop at No. 213 in the Mittal Estate. It’s a typical industrial building, usually pretty noisy with the sound of machines running and trucks loading up in the driveway. Ravi-Kiran Industries has been operating from this same unit for many years now. We aren't the type of place that has a big reception desk or fancy chairs for visitors. Usually, you’ll just find someone in work clothes or someone hunched over a desk covered in greasy papers and drawings. We make things. It’s really the only thing we know how to do well. The Mittal Estate is like a giant maze, but we’ve got our little corner figured out after all this time. We have a small crew here, and most of us have been working side by side for a decade or more. We don’t spend any money on advertising or big bright signs. Most people find us because someone else told them about us or because they’ve been coming here since they started out. It’s incredibly hot in the summer months and the monsoon rains make the roads around Saki Naka a total mess, but we keep the production line moving no matter what. We just handle the orders as they come in and try to stay on top of the machine maintenance. It’s just honest, hard work. We don't try to be something we're not. We just stay busy.
