Ramya Impex Pvt. Ltd.

Our company, Ramya Impex Pvt. Ltd., is based in the Shiv Sagar Industrial Estate. We are in unit 211 on Kotkar Road. To get here, you have to turn off Aarey Road in Goregaon East. It’s a pretty typical industrial area for Mumbai, so it’s always loud and there’s always something moving around. We have been in this unit for years. The space is filled with boxes and some old desks that have seen better days. We do a lot of importing and exporting, so there is always a lot of checking and re-checking of manifests. It’s a lot of phone calls and sitting at the computer. The estate itself is quite crowded, and parking is a nightmare most days. We usually just take the train and walk from the station. Our team is small, just a few of us making sure things get from one place to another. We don’t have a big corporate culture or anything. We just come in, do the work, and go home. Sometimes the humidity in the warehouse part gets a bit heavy, but we have fans going. It’s a straightforward business. We know our suppliers and we know the routes. If you walk past unit 211, you’ll probably hear the radio playing or someone shouting over the noise of the trucks outside. That’s just how it is here. We are just trying to keep everything on schedule.
