Our office for Ramakrishna Electro Components Pvt. Ltd. is right in the heart of the electronics market on Lamington Road. We are on the first floor of Ahmed Chambers, at B-4. If you have ever been to Lamington Road, you know how chaotic and loud it is. There are people everywhere and bikes squeezed into every tiny corner. Our space is tucked away in one of those old buildings that has seen a lot of history. Inside, it’s a bit quieter, but we are still surrounded by stacks of electronic parts and components. We have rows of small drawers filled with resistors, capacitors, and ICs. It’s a lot to keep track of, but we’ve been doing it so long that it’s second nature. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit steep and narrow, so carrying boxes up and down can be a challenge. We get a lot of walk-in customers—everyone from students working on college projects to professional repairmen looking for a specific part. We don't have much room for a lobby or a waiting area, so people just stand by the counter while we look for what they need. It’s a very traditional way of doing business, but in a place like this, it’s the only way that really works. We just keep our heads down, manage the stock, and try to help everyone who comes through the door. It’s a busy, cramped, and lively way to spend the workday.
