Rajat Gold

Rajat Gold is located in the Yashwant Shopping Center, which is really close to the Borivali station. If you know that area in Borivali East, you know it gets incredibly crowded, especially when the trains come in. Our shop is number 67. It’s a small place, but we’ve managed to fit in enough counters to show the jewelry we have. We spend our day cleaning the glass cases and talking to neighbors from the other shops in the center. It’s not a huge showroom like the ones on the main road, but we like it that way because it feels more personal. People stop by on their way home from work to look at rings or to get a chain fixed. We have a small safe in the back and a workbench where we do minor repairs or adjustments. The lighting is quite yellow, which makes everything look a bit warmer. Sometimes it gets so busy in the shopping center that you can hardly hear yourself think, but inside the shop, it stays relatively calm. We’ve been here for years, so we know most of the regulars who walk past every day. It’s a simple business. We don’t do big ads or anything like that. People just find us by word of mouth or because they’re already at the station for their commute. It’s a decent way to spend the day, seeing familiar faces and helping them out with their jewelry.
