Raja Industries (India)

Raja Industries (India) is tucked away in Goregaon East, specifically on I. B. Patel Road. We’re right across from the Hare Rama Hare Krishna Industrial Estate, specifically in Gala No. 2. It’s one of those busy Mumbai spots where there’s always a truck trying to squeeze through a narrow gap or someone unloading crates on the sidewalk. Our space isn't huge, but it's enough for what we do. The walls are a bit stained from years of work, and the lighting could be better, but it serves its purpose. We deal with various industrial tasks throughout the week. Sometimes it feels like the whole neighborhood is just one big machine with all the different galas doing their own thing. You can hear the hum of different workshops blending together from morning until late evening. It’s a bit of a maze back here if you aren't used to it. We keep our tools organized as best we can, though things usually get messy by noon. There’s always someone coming by asking for directions or a delivery driver looking for a different unit nearby. We just point them the right way and get back to our own tasks. It isn't a glamorous place by any stretch of the imagination. It’s just a spot where we put in our hours and try to get the jobs finished. We like the rhythm of it, even when the rain makes the road muddy outside. It's just local work for local people.
